Student’s body recovered

Police recovered the body of a madrasa student from a pond in Hazarpara area of Patkelghata upazila yesterday morning.

The deceased was identified as Ismail Hossain, 12, son of Shahbuddin, a resident of Enayetpur village in Kholishkhali union and a student of Hazrapara Hafizia Madrasa.

Rezaul Islam Reza, officer-in-charge of Patkelghata Police Station, said that locals found the body floating in the pond of the madrasa in the morning and informed police.

Later, police recovered the body. The OC said that Ismail was an epileptic patient. He might have drowned in the pond when he went there for bathing.
