The government yesterday promoted four addional secretaries to the post of acting secretaries in different ministries and divisions yesterday. Primary education department director general Dr Abu Hena Mostafa Kamal has been made acting secretary to the cultural affairs ministry. Additional secretary to the Technical and Madrasah Education Division of the education ministry, Ashok Kumar Biswas, has been transferred as acting secretary to the posts and telecommunications ministry.
Also, additional secretary to the Central Procurement Technical Unit (CPTU), Md Faroque Hossain, has been made executive chairman of the National Skills Development Council with the acting secretary status. Furthermore, additional secretary to the Economic Relations division (ERD), Mohammad Alkama Siddiqui, has been made chief executive officer (CEO) of the Public Private Partnership Authority Bangladesh (PPPAB).
Other than these, secretary to the Information and Communication Technology Division, Zuena Aziz, has been transferred as secretary to the social welfare ministry.
The public administration ministry issued notifications in this regard yesterday.
