Man crushed under train

A man walking on the rail tracks at Sholashahar in the port city was crushed to death Saturday afternoon under the wheels of a train. The deceased was identified as Shahin Alam, 42, son of Nizam Sarkar of Hili Land Port area in Dinajpur district. The accident occurred around 2.30pm when a train hit Shahin while he was walking along the rail tracks-a risky venture that far too many Bangladeshis seem to take on a daily basis without fully appreciating the risk factor. On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Chittagong Medical College Hospital for autopsy, the SI added.
