Special prayer held for SUST student

A special prayer was offered on Friday at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) seeking eternal peace for the soul of Taifur Rahman Pratik, a student of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology.

The 25-year-old was a student of the 2011-2012 session. His body was found hanging from the ceiling fan of his room at Kajalshah in Sylhet on January 14.

 After Juma prayers, SUST students, teachers and employees attended the milad and dua mahfil, at the central mosque. Vice-chancellor Prof Farid Uddin Ahmed, Treasurer Prof Ilyas Uddin Biswas, genetic engineering department chair Shamsul Haque Prodhan, among others, were present.
