Newly-revived High Performance Unit team will start their journey with gym and fitness training at National Cricket Academy (NCA) ground today.
The need-based intensive unit, who will work to develop the pipeline players for the national team, will hold gym and fitness session just for one week in Mirpur. Thereafter they will leave for Shaheed Chandu Stadium in Bogra for a couple of weeks .
The team led by director of coaches Paul Terry and his compatriot Mal Loye as head coach will hold a meeting with the other team’s coaches and officials to sketch out their next workplan.
All the squad players, who were asked to report yesterday, came to NCA to report.
On the other hand, Bangladesh Under-19 cricket team will also start their four-week-long practice for the next South African tour at BKSP.
Mizanur Rahman and Sohel Islam will guide the U-19 team as head coach and assistant coach. Bangladesh team is scheduled to fly for South Africa on June 28 to play one practice match and seven youth ODI against South Africa Under-19 team.
All the matches will be held at different venues across Durban and Pietermaritzburg.
