The Appellate Division of the Supreme Court yesterday upheld the High Court order granting bail to BNP leaders MK Anwar and Aman Ullah Aman in 29 arson and vandalism cases. The chamber judge of the Appellate Division, Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain, passed ‘no order’ on the government petitions filed seeking stay on the operation of the HC orders. The apex court ‘no order’ means the order of the HC remains upheld, Advocate Sagir Hossain Leon, one of the counsels for the BNP leaders, said.
