7 shops, houses gutted in Bandarban

Five shops and two dwelling houses were gutted in a fire at Bottali in Ruangchhari upazila on Monday night. Former UP chairman Aungsio Mong Marma said the fire originated from a kitchen of a house at 10 pm and soon engulfed the adjacent house and shops. Fire fighters from sadar rushed to the spot and doused the blaze with help of locals, the sources added.
