Uzbekistan crush Bangladesh 4-0

Bangladesh suffered a crushing 4-0 defeat at thee hands of  Uzbekistan in the AFC Under-19 Championship qualifying round in their last match of Group A yesterday at the Bangabandhu National Stadium. After conceding the defeat, no chance left for Bangladesh to qualify in the final round at least as one of the best group runners-up team. If they could finish with a draw against Uzbekistan, then Bangladesh could keep alive a slim chance.         
Bangladesh, who were under pressure after an embarrassing 1-1 draw with Bhutan in their previous match, had no option but to win the match against Uzbekistan but a second minute strike from Doston Ibragimov smashed the high hope.
Uzbekistan, unquestionably the strongest side in the group could take the lead in inside 30 seconds from a kick-off but a strong attempt from Ganijonov Begzod shattered the cross piece. But after another 30 seconds Doston Ibragimov did not miss the target when his powerful grounder beat a helpless Bangladesh goalkeeper (1-0). Conceding the goal too early, Bangladesh trying to organize them and got a chance to equalise on sixth minute but Mannaf Rabbi wasted the chance when his aimless shot went out the side post.
Bangladesh looked to make afresh in the second half as they started in a very positive approach with producing some sharp moves and also came closer to find the net but strong man-marking from   Uzbek defenders denied a combined effort on 60th minute. Uzbekistan doubled the advantage just against the flow of the game on that time when Doston Ibragimov scored his second of the game and the third in the competition on 63rd minute receiving a ball from a counter attack (2-0).
Uzbekistan also scored the third and fourth goal from counter attacks when they made the tally 3-0 on 80th minute through Abdixolikov who ran faster after having a long ball and shot past goalkeeper from inside the box. Ganijonov closed sheet scoring in the dying minute of the injury period (4-0). Earlier in the first match, Sri Lanka blanked Bhutan 2-0 to finish third in the group with three points.
