BCB meeting to discuss BPL and security issue today

The BPL and security issue will get the top priority amongst other matters at today’s board meeting of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) ahead of ICC’s regular meeting to be held on October 9. The meeting will start at BCB management office, Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium at 11:00am.
Bangladesh are in a delicate situation after Cricket Australia (CA) postponed their scheduled Bangladesh tour last week on security concerns. Thereafter, South Africa also withheld their women’s team tour to Bangladesh this week.
  In this situation, what will be the work of Bangladesh and how it will be implemented that will be discussed in the meeting.
Apart from that, the upcoming edition of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), Bangladesh-A team tour, Under-19 World Cup, Women team’s tour to Pakistan will also be discussed with financial and other regular issues.  About the board meeting, BCB vice-president Mahbub Anam said that they will put up their position to ICC’s member countries on security issue alongside try how we can increase our bi-lateral series.
“We can get to know the agenda of ICC before the meeting. That matters are being discussed in the board along with our local issues before going to ICC.”
