Four halls and a library of the Jatiya Press Club have been named after the names of five late pioneering journalists. The five journalists are Maulana Mohammad Akram Khan, Zahur Hossain Chowdhury, Abdus Salam, Tofazzal Hossain Manik Mia and poet Shamsur Rahman. Outgoing JPC President Muhammad Shafiqur Rahman, MP, its newly elected President Saiful Islam and General Secretary Farida Yasmin unveiled the name plaques of the halls and the library on Tuesday, said a press release. Leaders of the outgoing and newly elected committees of the JPC managing committee and senior journalists were present on the occasion.
