The first ever Bangladesh-Spain multilateral partnership meeting was held in the capital yesterday, says a press release.
In the first day of the two-day long multilateral partnership meeting raised the bar of expectations since it was a fantastic combination of solidarity and cooperation.
State Minister Nasrul Hamid, Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources, said “I think that this business meeting reflects the mutual interest of the companies in our respective countries and their desire to undertake joint ventures.”
The head of the delegation, D Isaac Martin Barbero, Director General, ICEX Spain Trade and Investment said- “Bangladesh has great ambitions that offer great opportunities in the energy, transportation and environmental sectors for the best international companies.”
The multilateral partnership meeting will end today and Bangladeshi companies will be meeting Spanish companies to partner up for the future trade initiatives.
Among the other dignitaries Eduardo de Laiglesia y del Rosal, ambassador of Spain to Bangladesh, Kazuhiko Higuchi, country director, Asian Development Bank, M Masrur Reaz, program manager, Trade and Competitiveness Global Practice, World Bank Group, Abdul Matlub Ahmad, president, The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI), Sayed Abdus Samad, executive chairman, Board of Investment, were present.
