Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni said yesterday that tackling question paper leak would be a priority for her. Talking to reporters at her Secretariat office, she said ensuring qualitative education was one of the important pledges in the 21-point electoral manifesto of the Awami League (AL) and she would work to achieve it. “Question paper leak is a major challenge and we are prepared to tackle it,” she added.
Dipu Moni said she would try to maintain the confidence of the Prime Minister. "Ensuring quality education is a global challenge. We will work to meet the challenge," she said. She further said people voted for them with massive hopes and aspirations and they would try to fulfil the pledges made in the electoral manifesto.
The newly appointed minister said she would continue with the process of development carried out by AL-led governments during the last 10 years. She also said it would take three to four days to take all responsibilities of the ministry. She sought the cooperation of the media and colleagues in the ministry. Deputy minister for education, Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury Nowfel, was present on the occasion.
