Kidnapped schoolboy rescued, four held

Police yesterday rescued a schoolboy and detained four suspected kidnappers from in front of Handur Bridge in Farazikanda area of Bandar upazila.
The detainees are Hridoy, 23, Abul Hossain, 22, Rana, 22 and Abdul Hossen, 30. The four abducted Mehedi Hasan Siam, 15, son of Mamun Mia of Shahidnagar in Sadar upazila on Friday evening while he was going to Tamakpotti from his house, said Ajharul Islam, OC of Bandar Police Station. They demanded Tk 50,000 from the victim's mother, he said. Later, the victim's mother sent Tk 15,000 through bKash, but they demanded for more and the victim's parents informed it to police. Instantly, police spotted the kidnappers through mobile tracking and detrained those, said the OC.
