2 held with 8,568 yaba tablets

Rapid Action Battalion (Rab-7) yesterday conducting a drive in Chattogram Railway Station area arrested two drug peddlers along with 8,568 contraband yaba tablets.

The arrestees were identified as Md Afsar Mia, 30 and Mohammad Alamgir, 30, said Rab-7 assistant director Md Mashukur Rahman by a short messing service.

“They were smuggling yaba tablets through pickle packets.  Acting of trip-off, a team of Rab conducted the drive and nabbed them,” said Rahman.

The Rab also recovered cash and mobile sets from them.
