Mohammed Salahuddin, former spin bowler, has been appointed as head of coaching staff of Comilla Victorians, a Bangladesh Premier League franchise. Formalities and paper works between the team and the coach has already been completed, according to a press release.
Congratulating Mohammed Salahuddin on his appointment, the Comilla Victorians’ Chairman Nafeesa Kamal said, “It’s an honour to have him as part of our team. His contribution to the growth of Sylhet Royals in the last edition was noteworthy.
“We appreciate his dedication to the game of cricket. Above all we wish to maintain continuity in our team set up as building bonds is more important than match statistics. And the best part is, he is from Comilla too!”
In his reaction, Salahuddin said, “I feel energetic to team up with Comilla Victorians. It came to me as an hounor as I’ll get the privilege to serve the team that is representing Comilla, my home district. I have experience of working with Nafeesa Kamal during the last episode of BPL. Hope this understanding will help us manage the team more fluently this season.”
Salahuddin coached Sylhet Royals in the last BPL season. Before that, he was part of the Bangladesh national team’s coaching unit for five years. He is currently in Malaysia and expected to join the team in the last week of this month.
