Mash wishes to play Test cricket again

Mashrafe Bin Mortaza expressed his desire to play a match in the National Cricket League (NCL), indicating the fact that he is yet to give up the hopes of playing the Test cricket.
If everything goes in plan, he will play the third round match for Khulna against Rangpur Division on October 10 at Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium in Khulna, the ground in which he played his last first class match 21 months ago.
“I talked to coach Chandika Hathurusingha in this regard. Will play the next round match of the NCL but it would be risk to play consecutive matches. So after the third round match, I’ll take a break,” he told the reporters yesterday during the celebration of his 32nd birthday at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
“I am in good shape now and feel myself completely fit. May be I may comeback in Test. Lets see what happened.”
Mashrafe played his last Test in West Indies in 2009. He couldn’t complete the Test after being injured on the very first day of the first Test.
Thereafter he played just four first class matches –one in 2010 and 2012 and two in January 2014.
Bangladesh ODI and T20 skipper cut a cake in the presence of BCB director and a string of journalists to observe his birthday. BCB game development chairman Khaled Mahmud Sujon offered Mashrafe a piece of cake.
