The government yesterday rescheduled the Bijaya Dashami (Durga Puja) holiday to October 22 from October 23, reports UNB.
The decision came from the regular weekly cabinet meeting held at the Cabinet Division of Bangladesh Secretariat with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair.
After the meeting, Cabinet Secretary Muhammad Musharraf Hossain Bhuiyan briefed reporters.
Earlier, the holiday for Durga Puja was declared for October 23.
The Cabinet Secretary said the government declared public holiday for Durga Puja on October 22 as the Nabami and Dashami of the Puja fall on the same date.
