German minister arrives today

German Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development Dr Gerd Müller arrives in the capital today on a two-day official visit.
While in Bangladesh, the German minister will discuss issues related to trade and development cooperation with his Bangladeshi counterpart Commerce Minister Tofail Afmed, according to foreign ministry sources.
Müller will also pay a courtesy call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
It may be mentioned that against the backdrop of the killing of an Italian citizen in Dhaka, British Minister of State at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office Hugo Swire called off his visit to Bangladesh scheduled for October 3-5.
