Wife dies following rumour of husband�s death in Makkah

Halima Khatun, 55, a resident of Sandikana village of Kendua upazila of Netrakona district has died after she suffered a heart attack on hearing a rumour of death of her husband while performing Hajj in Makkah.  Insan Mia, husband of Halima Khatun, went Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj this year. There he got sick and admitted to a local hospital in Makkah. Yesterday morning, some person delivered the news of her husband’s death to Halima and she immediately had a heart attack. , Saiful Islam, the duty doctor at the upazila health complex, said Halima had died following a heart attack that occurred before she was taken to the hospital.
 Chan Mia, the eldest son of Insan Mia, said that his father has not actually died in Makkah. “I talked with him on mobile phone. He is recovering at the hospital,”he said adding that the news about his death was nothing but a rumour. ,“But my mother died because of that rumour”, he said.
