Mushfiq to captain Ctg Vikings

BPL Chattogram Franchise on Tuesday announced Bangladesh wicketkeeper-batsman Mushfiqur Rahim as the captain of the Chittagong Vikings in the upcoming Twenty20 blockbuster tournament of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).

Chittagong Vikings chairman Abdul Wahed made the announcement in a ceremony yesterday, a press release said.

Being one of the most popular franchises in BPL cricket, Chittagong Vikings is yet to register a trophy. This time Abdul Wahed said that they are hopeful to clinch the BPL title this season.

“We have a wonderful team this year with the likes of experience campaigner Mushfiqur, Ronchi, Sikandar Raza, Delport and many more,” said Abdul Wahed.

“We are delighted to have Mushfiqur as our captain and we hope that this season is going to be blast for us,” Wahed told medai.

Chittagong Vikings will face defending champion Rangpur Riders in season opener on January 05, 2019.
