9,300 yaba tablets seized in Benapole

Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in a drive seized 9,300 piece of yaba tablets from Agrabhulot border here on Monday night.

Being informed that a gang of smugglers was bringing a consignment of yaba tablets India, a team of BGB conducted a drive there and seized contraband pills worth Tk 23 lakh, said Lt Col Imran H Sarker, commanding officer of BGB-21 battalion.

Later, a case was filed with Benapole Port Police Station in this connection.
