Nazrul Utsab

Chhayanaut, one of the most prominent cultural organisations in the country, organised a two-day festival titled ‘Nazrul Utsab 1425’ on its premises in Dhanmondi of the capital from June 29 to 30.

On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Chhayanaut’s life-time president Sufia Kamal, which fell on June 20, and also to celebrate birth anniversary of Kazi Nazrul Islam, which fell May 25, Chhayanaut organised the two-day festival since 1416. The poet-litterateur-activist Sufia Kamal was a devoted follower of Kazi Nazrul Islam.
