4 to die for killing man in N�ganj

NARAYANGANJ: A court here yesterday sentenced four persons, including father and son, to death for killing a man at Sonakanda Bazaar under Bandar upazila of the district in 2012, reports BSS.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Miazi Shahidul Alam Chowdhury pronounced the verdict.
The court official sources said the convicts are Abul Kashem, 50, his son Suzon, 24, Kalu, 48, and his son Azman, 26. All are residents of the same area. The prosecution story, in brief, is that the convicts beat and stabbed one Ujjal Miah to death in the area on June 16, 2012 following a trifle matter.
On the day, victim's father Lutfar Rahman filed a murder case with Bandar Thana against ten persons.
Police after investigation of the case submitted charge-sheet to the court. The judge after examining 14 witnesses and evidences found the four persons guilty and announced the judgment. The judge also acquitted six accused of the case as the killing charge brought against them was not proved.
