RAJSHAHI: A mobile court of the Bangladesh Standard and Testing Institutions (BSTI) in cooperation with the district administration in drives fined the owners of five food factories Tk 1.01 lakh in Rajshahi yesterday for manufacturing of substandard and adulterated food items, reports BSS. The court, led by Executive Magistrate Shukla Sarker, lodged separate cases against five owners of food factories on charges of manufacturing, possessing and selling of substandard and unhygienic food items together with violation of BSTI rules and regulations. The accused food factories are--- Ahar Food Industries, Padma Bakery, New Khan CFhanachur Factory, Kundu Bakery and Meem Bakery. The court realised Tk 1.01 lakh from the factory owners as fine and disposed of the cases on the spot. It has also destroyed huge ingredients of biscuit, bread and chanachur.
