Dr Shirin wins Rangpur-6

Awami League candidate Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury yesterday was unofficially elected from Rangpur-6 with a huge margin. The speaker of the 10th parliament bagged 2,34,426 votes in all 107 polling stations of the constituency. Her nearest rival Jatiya Oikyafront contender Saiful Islam polled only 24,053 votes running in the constituency with 'Paddy Sheaf' symbol, said a press release. Dr Shirin was also elected from the Rangpur-6 in 2014 contesting with 'Boat' symbol.
