A man, who suffered burn injuries in a gas line explosion in the capital’s Mirpur area on Sunday, died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on Monday, reports UNB. The deceased was identified as Delwar Hossain, 60, of Senpara area under Kafrul police station of Mirpur in the capital. Delwar, who was undergoing treatment at the burn unit with 40 per cent burn injures, succumbed to the injuries around 6am, according to officials at the hospital.
Earlier on September 27, six members of a family, including Delwar, sustained burn injuries as a leaked gas line blasted at a tin-shed house in Senpara Parbat area.
One of their neighbour also received burn injuries when he came to help them. The injured were admitted to the burn unit of DMCH. Of the injured, Jahid Hasan, 14, son of deceased Delwar succumbed to his injuries at the DMCH earlier on Saturday.
