Bangladesh Bank Governor Atiur Rahman left Dhaka for Lima Sunday night to attend the Annual Meetings of the World Bank (WB) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) , says press release.
The three-day annual conference is scheduled to be held at Lima Convention Center in the capital of Peru from October 9.
BB Governor Rahman will also participate in a series of high-level meetings with his counterparts and Commonwealth senior officials.
The central bank chief is also scheduled to deliver speeches and present papers at different discussions which will be held prior to the conference from October 6-7.
Besides, the BB Governor will take part the Vulnerable Twenty Group of Ministers of Finance, generally known as V20 Groups of Ministers of Finance, of the CVF (Climate Vulnerable Forum) on October 8.
The SAARC finance was formed in October 1998 as a network of central bank governors and finance secretaries of the SAARC region that groups Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Sri Lanka.
