Speakers at a function yesterday called for ensuring free flow of information to empower mass people and make all public services transparent and accountable.
They were addressing the function arranged marking unveiling of the third edition of the ‘National Productivity Massage’ at the industries ministry here, said a press release.
Secretary In-Charge of the ministry M Abdul Halim unveiled the publication as the chief guest with NPO Director SM Asrafuzzaman in the chair.
National Productivity Organisation (NPO) published the magazine to disseminate productivity concept across the country.
Abdul Halim said the government has already enacted the ‘Right to Information Act’ and formed information commission to provide necessary information to the common people.
“In the Annual Performance Agreement (APA), the government laid emphasis on the free flow of information,” he added.
