Bangladesh Police yesterday urged the people of the country to take help of emergency service 999 to examine the authenticity of information to avoid rumors following the upcoming 11th parliamentary election.
Police in a press release said in recent times vested groups are spreading confusing information using the social media, posters, leaflets, speeches, pictures, videos etc.
The people have been urged not to get confused with rumors and fake news and call 999 for inspecting reality of the matter, the handout said.
