Journalists can play vital role in building developed Bangladesh

Mayor of Khulna City Corporation Talukder Abdul Khaleque yesterday said journalists can play vital role in building Bangladesh as a prosperous and developed country.
He was speaking as the chief guest at the annual general meeting (AGM) of Khulna Press Club (KPC) held at its Likat Ali auditorium.
He urged journalists to use their pen in support of the pro-liberation forces to honour the three millions martyred people of Bangladesh.
Hailing Swadhina Sangbadik Forum of Khulna for seeking vote for boat Mayor Khaleque also urged upon the journalists to conduct campaign for six candidates of Awami League of the district. He appealed the people of Khulna to present all six seats to the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Chaired by KPC president Faruk Ahmed, member of parliament of Khulna-2 constituency, senior journalists Begum Ferdousi Ali, Mokbul Hossain Mintu, S M Nazrul Islam, Ashraful Haque, S M Zahid Hossain, Mallick Sudhangsu, Md Saheb Ali, Subir Roy, Mahbub Alam Sohag, freedom fighter professor Alamgir Kabir and educationist prof Zafar Imam, among others, addressed the event.
