BNP ignorant of ruling country: Muhith

Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith said the BNP does not know how to rule the country. "Khaleda Zia is unfit to rule the country, but she is still the leader of that party. So, it has no chance to win the upcoming election," he added.

He was talking at the election campaign at the Sylhet Bateshwar Bazar area yestreday on behalf of his younger brother AK Abdul Momen, the AL-nominated candidate from the Sylhet Sadar-1 constituency.

About the attack on candidates in some constituencies, Muhith says: "The election environment is good. There may have been some attacks on  the BNP in one or two constituencies. But BNP supporters also launched attacks on AL activists and vandalised some offices of Momen. They also beat up some AL activists in the Sylhet Sadar constituency."

AK Abdul Momen, Sylhet district AL secretary Shofiqur Rahman Chowdhury, Sadar upazila parishad chairman Ashfaq Ahmed and other AL activists were present at the campaign.
