Bangladeshi Artist Sanzida Akter Shipra with 100 members youth delegation yesterday left Dhaka for Delhi with the invitation from the Indian President Pranab Mukharjee for the state visit, says a press release. Shipra rose to prominence for her paintings on Father of The Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. She is the daughter in law of Ekushe Award winner Shahid Humayun Kabir Balu. As per the itinerary, she will meet the Indian President Pranab Mukharjee as well as visit and meet important people in the capital Delhi and other places including Agra, Kolkata and Rajasthan from October 4 to 11. This is for the consecutive fourth years, such delegation from Bangladesh has made state visit to India in a bid to strengthen people-to-people contact between the two countries.

An unidentified passer-by was killed as a micro-bus hit him at Shah Amanat Bridge area under Bakalia police Station in Chittagong city yesterday.
Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) police outpost Nayek Abdul Hamid said, “A micro-bus hit an unidentified youth at Shah Amant Bridge area at around 10:30 am, leaving him critically injured. After that locals rushed him to CMCH where the on-duty doctor declared him
dead.”
