Minor girl found dead in Khulna

KHULNA: The body of a minor girl was recovered from a pond near her house at Deara village under Dighalia upazila in in Khulna district today, reports BSS. The deceased was identified as Rabeya Khatun, 8, daughter of Sheikh Shajahan Boyati under Deara village of the upazila. Rabeya was a student of class-three of Dighalia R D N Primary School. Officer-in-charge of Dighalia Police Station Rabiul Islam said, being informed, police rushed to the spot and recovered the dead body from the pond which was wrapped into a sack tied with rope. Injury marks was found in the minor girl’s neck, the Office Incharge (OC) said, adding that the kid was missing since Saturday afternoon.
A case was filed with Dighalia police station.
