Dhaka Stocks yesterday witnessed flat with falling trend of most of the major price indices at Dhaka and Chittagong Stock Exchanges despite higher transactions.
The day’s trade value at the DSE increased to Tk 397.93 crore from Tuesday’s Tk 378.83 crore and the daily trade also rose to 9.63 crore share from 8.43 crore share of the previous session.
The broader DSEX of the DSE closed the day with 8.97 points up at 5,242.56. The blue-chip DS30 and the Shariah DSES closed the day with 7.17 points down at 1,836.25 and with 0.31 point down at 1,204.89. At the DSE, prices of 209 securities out of the day’s 341 closed higher against 78 losing issues.
The major gaining issues were Rupali Insurance, Queen South, Prime Life, Continental Insurance and Agrani Insurance. The major losing issues were ANLIMAYARN, HRTEX, Meghna Condense Milk, ISNLTD and MLDYEING.
Square Pharma topped the turnover list followed by UPGDCL, BRAC Bank, JMISMDL and Ifad Autos.
