Theatre troupe Desh Natak will stage yet another show of its much-acclaimed production titled ‘Nityapuran’ today at the National Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) in Segun Bagicha of the capital.
Adapted by Masum Reza, the play revolves around Ekalavya, a character from the epic Mahabharata. Mamun Chowdhury will be playing the character of Ekalavya while Sushama Sarker will play the role of Draupadi.
‘Nityapuran’ or ‘The Eternal Meeting’ is a tragic story about an unsuccessful hero. Ekalavya wants to learn archery under the gurukul of Guru Dronacharya, who rejects him. The irony here is that Ekalabya still manages to become an admirable archer.
Tickets will be available in front of the venue before the show.
