Actor Khalilullah Khan Foundation formed

In the memory of late noted actor of the country’s film industry, Khalilullah Khan—widely known for his screen name Khalil, his family members have formed a foundation. The newly formed foundation has got its name as Khalilullah Khan Foundation. Musa Khan, son of actor Khalil, informed DhakaLive that the foundation was formed back in June this year, which has already been registered in Social Welfare Ministry. The foundation will start its formal journey from coming December 19 through a programme at the Social Welfare Auditorium in the city’s Khilgaon area.
Actor Khalil, who died in December last year, was engaged in different social activities in his lifetime. He established a school named School and Rehabilitation Centre (SRC) for the physically challenged children. He ran the school with his utmost sincerity until his death, and after his death, his daughter Ayesha Khanam took the charge to run the school.
Syed Amzad Ali is the president of Khalilullah Khan Foundation, while Ayesha Khan will act as general secretary and Musa Khan as senior vice president of the organisation.
Musa Khan said about the objective of the foundation, “Mainly for the peace of our deceased father’s soul, we have formed the foundation. At the same time, we will try to run the SRC School keenly from the foundation. Besides our family members, anyone from our father’s work place can join in the endeavour that we started. In the future, we will participate in different types of social activities from the foundation. We believe that actor Khalil will live forever among the generation to generation through the foundation.”
To note, more than 50 physically challenged students are studying in SRC School right now and Khaliullah Khan Foundation has taken the responsibility of all of them.  l
