Gas line blast victim dies at DMCH

A teenage boy, who suffered burn injuries in a gas line explosion in the capital’s Mirpur area on Sunday, died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) yesterday, reports UNB. The deceased was identified as Jahid Hasan, 14, son of Delwar Hossain of Senpara area under Kafrul police station of Mirpur in the capital. Jahid, who was undergoing treatment with 45 per cent burn injures, succumbed to his injuries at the burn unit of the hospital around 11am, sources at the hospital said. Six members of a family, including Jahid, sustained burn injuries as a leaked gas line blasted at a tin-shed house in Senpara Parbat area on September 27. One of their neighbour received burn injuries when he came to help them. The injured were admitted to the burn unit of DMCH.
