4 held with counterfeit notes, yaba in Faridpur

Members of Rapid Action Battalion(RAB)-8 recovered huge amount of counterfeit notes, yaba tablets, sale proceeds of drug trading and arrested four persons from Boalmari upazila of this district on Thursday night, reports BSS from Faridpur. According to a press release issued by RAB yesterday night, acting on secret information a team of RAB led by Additional Police Super Md. Khaleduzzaman carried on a raid in a house of Gohailebari village under Boalmari upazila.
The house was owned by one Dipak Kundu, 35, a drug peddler.
After searching the house the elite force also
arrested Md. Rubel Shaikh, 25, Md. Nazir Shaikh, 24 and Md. Akram, 26 along with Dipak Kundu as the main accused.
After long interrogation of the arrested and searching the house RAB recovered 306 pieces of yaba tablets, counterfeit
notes amounting to Taka 2,09,000 sale proceeds of yaba tablets Taka 4,555,
five cell phones and seven SIM cards from their possession.
The arrested persons confessed to the elite force they have been carrying on drug trade and counterfeit note business for a long time.
They were handed over to Boalmari police after filing cases against them, the press release said.
