Seven Bangladesh nationals returned home from India on Thursday night after languishing in Indian jail, reports UNB. Indian police handed them over to the Bangladesh immigration police through Benapole check post. The seven BD nationals, including eight-year-old boy Simon, had languished for about two years in Indian jail for illegal intrusion into the Indian territory. The other returnees include Simon’s father Shafiqul Islam, of Jessore, Babu Sheikh, 25, of Narail, Nurul Abedin, 30, of Brahmanbaria, Aftabur Rahman, 27, of Sunamganj, Sharif Mollah, 30, of Jessore, and Idris Ali, 22, of Shariatpur. Later, the seven were handed over to their respective families.
