Display of electronic voting machine (EVM) began at four venues under Chattogram-9 constituency on Saturday by Chattogram regional election office.
Kamrul Alam, election officer of Chattogram-9 (Kotwali) said the EC on November 24 selected six constituencies, out of 300, where EVMs will be used in the parliamentary polls scheduled for December 30. The constituencies are Dhaka-6, Dhaka-13, Chattogram-9, Rangpur-3, Khulna-2 and Shatkhira-2.
The query of voters regarding EVM use will be solved through such display, said Chattogram District Election Officer Munir Hossain Khan. The EVM were displayed at Kotwali Ward Councilor office, Enayet Bazar Mahila College, Railway Colony City Corporation School and Arpana Charan Girls’ High School from 12pm to 5pm on Saturday and from 10am to 4pm on Sunday.
