Navy foil Army challenge in full five sets battle

Favourites Bangladesh Navy spikers foiled a strong challenge of Bangladesh Army before winning an eventful match of the Walton Victory Day Volleyball Tournament yesterday at Shaheed Noor Hossain National Volleyball Stadium in the capital.

Navy fought hard to come from a set down before winning the marathon match 19-25, 25-17, 37-35, 16-25 and 15-9.

Power Development of Bangladesh, however rose to the occasion magnificently to down Bangladesh Ansar 25-19, 25-16, 25-15.

Bangladesh Police, BKSP, Titas Club and Bangladesh Air Force are the other four teams in this eight-team tournament sponsored by Walton Limited.
