Khulna Division will lock horns with Dhaka Metro in the second round encounter of the Tier-1 in the 17th Walton National Cricket League (NCL) at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium today
The four-day match will start at 9:30am.
Both Khulna and Metro intensely did their pre-match day practice at BCB National Cricket Academy with the participation of national team’s players.
Skippers from both sides expressed their optimism about winning the match. All the matches of the first round of this first class competition have been ended in a draw due to the countrywide torrential downpours. So, each side give much focus on this round.
“We move forward with the target of match by match. In this match, our target is to take the highest number of points. We’ll also try to win the match.
Sometimes it is seen in the four-day match that the game has been spoiled due to showers. So, we’ll try to take maximum points with bonus,” said Abdur Razzak, skipper of Khulna Division.
Dhaka Metro captain Mahmudullah Riyad said that they have practiced and prepared themselves for a win in the second round.
“All we have been practicing after the end of the first round. We have prepared ourselves for the next course of action and will try to win the match,” said Riyad.
Rangpur Division will face-off Dhaka Division in the other match of the Tier-1 at Shaheed Chandu Stadium in Borgra.
