Abducted college girl rescued

After passing four days of college student Zannatul Ferdous Rikta, 16, abduction incident Sadar police rescued her from Manikganj district on Thursday night and brought to Patuakhali yesterday.
KM Tariqul Islam, Officer in Charge of Sadar police station, said on September 28 last Zannatul Ferdous Rikta, a second year HSC student of Patuakhali Government College and daughter of Patuakhali Judge Court clerk Mazibur Rahman, was abducted from PDS field of the district town.
Later victim’s father filed a kidnapping case with Patuakhali police station in this regard. Following the case, police nabbed Sourav Howlader, associate of kidnapper Fardeen Mridha. After getting information from Sourav and tracking mobile phone police arrested kidnapper Fardeen Mridha from a residence of Zahangir at Paril village of Singair uapzila of Manikganj with the cooperation of police there.
Police also rescued the girl and both were brought to Patuakhali yesterday.
Fardin is an inhabitant of Kholisakhali village in sadar upazila.
