The government of Kazakhstan is willing to offer trade and business opportunities for Bangladeshi business people, ambassador of Kazakhstan to Bangladesh said yesterday.
Barlybay Sadykov, the ambassador, also said his government will consider employment facilities for Bangladeshi skilled manpower in the areas of English language teaching, nursing and housekeeping.
Sadykov was speaking at a seminar titled ‘Trade and Investment Cooperation between Kazakhstan and Bangladesh’ in the capital.
“There is a huge potential in business and trade for both the countries. We offer better environment conducive to the business community. The road, sea and air routes offer better connectivity facilities for businesses,” he added.
He also said tourism can be a potential sector for both the countries to uphold the mutual interests of the two friendly nations.
The ambassador said his government will hold various programmes next year in Bangladesh to find out the potential for the benefit of both the countries.
In reply to a query over the delay of registration process necessary for exporting medicines to Kazakhstan, Barlybay said he has taken a note of this and will talk to the people concerned in his country to help speed up the process.
Relying to queries, he said his government will work on easy visa processing system like on-arrival visa and holding single country fair for the better interaction between the business communities.
Honorary Consul of Kazakhstan to Bangladesh Ahmed Shayan Fazlur Rahman said, “The relationship between Bangladesh and Kazakhstan is moving forward. We will hold more meetings next year to tap the potential in areas of trade and tourism.”
“We have a lot to be done between the two countries in power infrastructure, readymade garments, pharmaceuticals and agriculture. The trade delegation of both the countries will visit each other next year,” added Rahman, who is also a director of Beximco Group.
The honorary consul sought cooperation of all to provide new ideas and recommendations for the mutual benefit of the two countries.
