Trader hacked to death

A trader was hacked to death allegedly by his rivals at Kazirber in Sharsha upazila early yesterday. The deceased was identified as Zahidul Islam Zahid, 32, a C&F agent and son of Abdur Jabbar Tarafdar of Narayanpur village in Benapole.  Quoting locals, Mashiur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Sharsha Police Station, said Zahidul gave Tk 7 lakh to Beauty Khatun, wife of Jharu Dalal, for sending him to abroad. Later, instead of sending Zahid to abroad as promised, Beauty cheated the money.
