Two arrested with 50 turtles

The member of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) here today afternoon arrested two smugglers along with 50 turtles from Batiaghata upazila in the district. ASP of RAB-6 Bazlur Rashid said, in a secret information, a RAB team recovered 50 turtles from Prasad Roy, 50, of Hatbadi village under Batiaghata upazila and Ranjan Bairagi, 40, of Kesmot Fultala village under Fultala upazila. The arrested were sent to Batiaghata police station while the turtles were sent to Wild Life management and Nature Preservation Department.
