CoU admission viva voce Nov 25-26

The viva voce the successful candidates for admission into the first year honours courses at Comilla University (CoU) under 2018-19 academic session will be held on November 25-26. The oral test will be held at the respective faculties of all three units.

Those who have come out successful in the write tests have been asked to contact with the respective unit office for the viva voce and fill up the department choice forms.

They will have to carry the original copies of SSC and HSC mark sheets and the admit cards of the admission tests.

The final merit list will be published on November 26 at the respective unit and it will also be available on CoU website - www.cou.ac.bd The admission procedure from the merit list will be held from November 27 to December 6. Two-day psychology conference held at DU

BSS, Dhaka

A two-day Psychology Conference-2018 was held at the Dhaka University (DU) Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban on the campus. DU Psychology Department and Bangladesh Psychological Association (BPA) jointly organised the conference, said a DU press release.

Vice-Chancellor of DU Prof Md Akhtaruzzaman inaugurated the conference on Friday morning. Secondary and Higher Education Division Secretary Md Sohorab Hossain, Fisheries and Livestock Secretary Md Raisul Alam Mondal, Handicap International Chief Coordinator Md Majedul Haque, BPA President Prof Muhammad Mahmudur Rahman and General Secretary Prof Shamsuddin Ilias and DU Psychology Department Chairperson Prof Mahfuza Khanam, among others, addressed the inaugural function.

Five new deans appointed at IU

The authority of Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia appointed five new deans of recently launching five faculties of the university, said an IU press release.

Prof Momtajul Islam, Prof M Anowarul Haque, Prof SM Mostofa Kamal, Prof Nesar Uddin Ahmad and Prof Nasim Banu have been appointed as the deans of Engineering and Technology faculty, Biological Science faculty, Science faculty, Arts faculty and Social Sciences faculty of the university respectively.

IU VC Prof M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari appointed them to the posts for next two years, the release added.

Engineering and Technology faculty, Biological Science faculty and Science faculty were launched through dissolving of Applied Science and Technology faculty while Arts faculty and Social Sciences faculty were launched through dissolving of Humanities and Social Sciences faculty of the university on Tuesday.
