The police of Raipura Police Station yesterday filed two cases under Arms act and arrested 13 individuals with the charges of violent clash at Banshgari and Nilikhya unions in the district on Friday that left three people dead and injured many others. Besides, police also recovered 9 firearms with 6 rounds of bullets in separate drives.
However, the families of the deceased did not file any case in this connection till filing the report. When contacted, the Officer-in-Charge of Raipura Police Station told the correspondent that police members rushed at the spot and brought control over the situation after around three hours.
Additional police force were deployed at the unions, he said adding that police also raided different areas and arrested 13 suspects and recovered 9 arms with 6 rounds of bullets under their possessions.
The OC also said that police filed two cases with Raipura Police Station under Arms act against the miscreants. But no cases were filed by the families of the victim, added the OC.
