Beauty to render Radha Raman Dutta’s songs

The Lalon-singer Beauty performed six songs of Radha Raman Dutta on Deepto TV last Saturday. After receiving positive feedback from the viewers, the singer has expressed her willingness to come up with an album featuring Radha Raman Dutta’s songs very soon. DhakaLive has news that Beauty is currently busy with live shows on different channels throughout the month. However, the singer intends to work on the album from next month.

“Last Saturday, I rendered six songs of Radha Raman Dutta on Deepto TV’s ‘Deepto Provati’. I have been getting positive responses from the listeners. I’m currently going to come up with an album containing the music composer’s songs. I’ll consider the listeners’ preferences while choosing the songs for the album.”

Apart from this, Beauty has released two original video songs—’Pro manusher bondhu aamay bhul bujhilo’ and ‘Krishnokaliya’—on YouTube.  

The songs are penned by Saifullah Rumi and music arrangement done by MD Sarwar. Born in 1833, Radha Raman Dutta was an influential Sylheti dhamail music composer and lyricist from the Sylhet region. He wrote and composed over 2,000 songs in the Baul tradition. He is credit with the creation of the Dhamail art form. His compositions are performed today in weddings all over Bangladesh. l
