The National Board of
Revenue (NBR) collected
Tk 5,511,520,398 crore on the second day of the week-long income tax fair, which is an increase by 1.44 percent from the last year.
On the second day of the fair, a total of 65,050 taxpayers submitted income tax returns throughout the country, 65.31 per cent higher than that of the same day in the previous year at all the fair venues including divisional headquarters and central one at the officers’ club in the capital yesterday.
Some 236,455 people received services related to income tax payment from the taxmen, up from 54.28 percent higher than previous year which was 1,53,267.
Last year, 39,351 people have submitted their return files on the second day of the tax fair, this year the number is 65,050 and the difference is 25,699.
In total, for the first two-days, National Board of Revenue (NBR) collected a total of
Tk 7,695,797,446 crore and 1,11,451 taxpayers submitted income tax returns whereas some 3,50,154 people received services related to income tax payment from taxmen.
This statistics show the eagerness and enthusiasm of people for paying tax, said NBR officials during the fair.
